The mechanics are straightforward. Every time you click on a tile, you place a block that cuts off part of the cat’s path. After each of your moves, the cat immediately reacts, stepping one tile at a time in whatever direction is still open.

Try to think about how each block you place will affect the cat’s next move. Instead of chasing it directly, it’s usually better to guide it toward the edges of the board where its movement becomes more limited. The borders and corners are your best friends.
Flexibility is also key. The cat doesn’t always go where you expect, so you have to adjust your strategy on the fly. And most importantly, focus on blocking escape routes rather than just trying to corner it immediately—slowly cutting off its options is what really wins the game.

Each round is like a little mental battle between you and the feline. There are moments when you feel totally in control, and other times the cat manages to escape through a space that you were unaware of. What makes it so captivating is the back and forth.
Success ultimately boils down to being able to read the cat's movements, planning, and maintaining composure under duress. That thrilling "win" moment makes all the planning worthwhile if you can outwit it and block every escape path.
